well that was certainly major. The first social link i got to in this batch was the fourth rank with who I assume to be the homeroom teacher. There's something that I find fascinating that I'm unsure they'll center about the lack of outlets for women 20 years ago to vent their frustrations outwardly especially in a public facing role model position like educator especially with regards to misogyny.

Then we get to the first link event with junpei which while fun is kind of a nothing burger sans the using fiction to inspire their heroism which feels insufficient given the tensions already seen in missions but I think that's kind of indicative of the party characterization starting to feel a bit too slow as if we're in a holding pattern which makes me wonder if the smaller cast in 4 was intentional to avoid this and have links for party members be relatively more evenly spaced out.

My mind couldn't screaming through every bit of the maiko social links this little girl is going through a traumatic event and needs actual professional support not help from a random high schoolers even if we are the damn protagonist. I do appreciate how she got the chance to be self interested in terms of wanting to her family to stay together in the midst of a divorce. The small detail that she's going to cram school is horrific to me like she's in elementary i presume and going to cram school. 
Then we get to the gourmet king himself too early for me to really say much but it's really interesting how the boys are written for the most part as being socialized to be conflict avoidant.

We get the big reveal this batch with both chihiro and the book store owners with the formers being verbally abusive parent at least and the tree being cut down in the former. I am keeping my eyes on if the chihiro dynamic leads to a dependence on the Mc writing wise. 
Overall worthwhile block of content even if it took longer to write cause of irl stuff and my body choosing solidarity with grossberg pain wise
Thing in the setting that's sparking joy the existence of a sentai show as a background element

Jaguar Yokota vs La galactica 2/27/85 wwwa title match and disk 7 retrospective

 we start off this bout with a sneak attack by Galactica which responds to with appropriate ferocity. Jaguar wins the strike exchanges and eventually gets Galactica to ringside via an over-the-top back body drop. this back body drop ends up being a mistake because by going to ringside Jaguar opens herself up to shenanigans. Big thing strategically is this the first impact on the arm early in this match and as Jaguar prepares herself to reenter the ring we see her shaking her arm out. Interestingly Galactica is seemingly of two minds cause she vacillates a little between working the arm as a means to gain a foothold and using it as her primary target. the deciding factor is that when given the opportunity Jaguar can still win head to head exchanges at this point there's copious use of nunchucks alongside two instances of smashing the shoulder into the ringpost and attacking the shoulder while the arm is wrapped around the top rope causing it to bleed. Crush Girls vs Dump Matsumoto and Bull Nakano Tag league the best Final

 We start off with the Alliance in identical prematch outfits starting the match with a massive attack on the crush girls and a body double for Dump which is such a fun touch. The first fall is defined by the alliance taking advantage of the lead given by the sneak attack to focus on targeting Chigusa's injured knee. The alliance is eventually disqualified for excessive use of illegal tactics giving the crush girls the first fall. It's readily apparent that the alliance don't give a fuck because they're confident the damage they inflicted will be telling enough to win them the war. The second fall is an odd one cause it's so short due to a surprise knockout of Lioness Asuka via doomsday device which rocks. Prior to the finish you get what you'd expect Chigusa trying to get back into the action while trying to protect her leg and Asuka being a house of fire. The third fall is essentially a struggle for survival for the crush girls with Chigusa having to start off...

Hisako Uno & Yumiko Hotta vs. Kazue Nagahori & Yumi Ogura (WWWA Tag Team Titles) 4/27/87

First defense for Uno and Hotta as far as what we have on the set. The challengers start off hot with jumping spin kicks to the back leading to multiple irish whips into the rails at ringside. The body of the first fall is mostly based around the challenger's targeting Uno's previously bad knee viciously. The champions counter mostly via Hotta's size. The finish comes via top rope tombstone. The second fall is a great mirror of the first with the champion's establishing a foothold with Hotta's strikes and eventually begin targeting Ogura's leg. The finish comes via top rope gutbuster. The third fall  breaks down quickly. If there is a throughline it's the challengers isolating hotta and eventually piling on enough damage for the win. Really fun interesting how the internal dynamics for Ogura and Nagahori have shifted especially in that first fall feels like Ogura's trying to find herself a bit. 7.9/10
